It’s time to take a swing at building a better industry.

The #SwingForChange Challenge is simple: follow Kahua on LinkedIn, show us your swing, share what drives you in the construction industry and challenge someone else to do the same. For every post, Kahua will donate one dollar to support Construction Ready.

How to Participate: 

  1. Follow Kahua on socials
  2. Take your swing
    1. Grab anything (a golf club, baseball bat, hammer, tennis racquet or other creative idea). 
    2. Take a swing in your own way. Make it personal to you! 
  3. Share what drives you
    1. In your post, tell us: What drives you to make construction better?
    2. Example: “I’m swinging my hammer because what drives me is creating safer jobsites.”
  4. Post and tag
    1. Post your photo or video on LinkedIn. 
    2. Use the hashtag #SwingForChange
    3. Tag @Kahua so we can see it.
  5. Nominate someone else 
     Challenge a friend, peer, customer or industry leader to take their own swing.

We’re proud to support Construction Ready (formerly CEFGA), a 501(c)(3) that prepares people of all ages for great-paying, entry-level construction careers, without the burden of four-year-degree debt. Their mission: elevate the skilled trades, train jobseekers and connect them with employers so families and communities thrive.  

Why Construction Ready?

  • Proven workforce impact: More than 2,300 people placed in construction roles over the last 12 months through K-12 and Pre-Apprenticeship programs.  
  • Career-starting training: A 20-day Pre-Apprenticeship where participants can earn up to 8 industry credentials, with 91% job placement, $18.52 average starting pay, and 70% still employed after one year.
  • Inspiring the next generation: A statewide K-12 pipeline (elementary through high school) plus hands-on events like the CareerEXPO reaching 10,500+ attendees across Georgia and Florida.  
  • Rooted in the industry: Founded in 1993 as the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia; rebranded to Construction Ready in 2022 to reflect its flagship training program.
