How SJUSD Moved Beyond Five-Year FCA Cycles With VM3& Kahua Your Project Data for Better Decisions

April 9, 2026 @ 2 p.m. (ET)

The Future Roadmap for K-12 Capital Projects

A five-year Facility Conditions Assessment gave the San Juan Unified School District a snapshot in time, but with constant maintenance and so many projects, that information would go out of date fast. In this session, SJUSD shares how they moved beyond five-year FCA cycles by adopting an asset centric approach using the FCA app in Kahua.

Built by VM³, the FCA app has transformed SJUSD's process into an efficient real-time system. In this session, you will see how continuous condition updates, standardized locations, and centralized asset repository connect maintenance activity and capital planning in one system. The result is faster prioritization, clearer reporting to stakeholders, and a foundation for scenario planning that helps teams shape the next capital program with real, current information.

Join us on April 9 at 2 p.m. (ET) to learn more about:

  • How SJUSD transitioned from periodic FCA refreshes to continuous updates
  • How assets, deficiencies, photos, and documents roll into one usable database
  • How teams filter and prioritize needs by site, system, severity, and space
  • How this supports facility master planning and long-range capital decisions
